My dear Mrs. Brewster

Your message to Mr Butler regarding Marcelle has been received. Mr. Butler passed away nearly two years ago. He was Marcelle’s father-in-law, & he was very much grieved over her living in Manila. Marcelle is a widow, & was visiting friends in Manila that she had made when she & her husband had lived there and happy new year.

I have written to Marcelle informing her what aid I can give. She is French and her only relatives are in Occupied France.

The War Dept. was so kind as to five the entire emssage & about tenty other listeners wrote. Again thanking you, Betty Miller
