Dear Mrs. Brewster,
I have already received word of my son’s imprisonment in the hands of the Japanese from other listeners of that program. However I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughfulness in writing to us. Your letter has given us proof that it really was our son. We haven’t heard about him in seven months. So you can just imagime how welcome that news was.
You are performing a wonderful deed in doing what you’ve done.
