Dear Mrs. Brewster

I have received your letter of July 1st telling me about the short wave broadcast from Tokyo in which you heard the request to notify me of my son’s safety and whereabouts.

I want to thank you very much. You see, it had been over a year since we had heard anything re-garding my son. I received several letters tell-ing me about the message, but I want you to know how grateful I am to each of you for your interest.

If it is ever possible for Jack to send a messge and you should hear it, I should be eternally grateful if you would send it to me.

Thank you again for your letter.

Sincerely

Mrs. S.O. Fife
