My Dear Mrs. Brewster

I want to thank you for your sending us the message you picked up from Tokyo on Sunday June 6th.

This is the first word we have had from our daughter since the Japs took Manila. It is a great relief to know that she is alive and apparently well. Her name is Dorothy Ellis Obert. Her husband is a captain in U.S. Air Force. They were married in Manila one week before war started. When Bataan fell he got to Australia, now he is back in this country and Dorothy is over there. I hope God will answer our prayers and bring her home.

Thanking you again.

Mrs. P.G. Ellis
