My dear Mrs. E. Brewster:

I received your letter in regard to my sister (Isabella Baxter) who is in-terned in Manila.

That is the first time we have heard from her since Christmas Day, 1941. When she sent us a cablegram.

We do not have a radio (short wave) and no one in our community has one, so I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your sending us the message -

My sister has taught school in Manila for sixteen years - She returned to Manila June 1941 - after one year leave of absence - Our government sent her back so that shows how little we knew what Japan meant.

Enclosed are some stamps to send happniess to other folks, and hope you will continue receiving and sending message.

Sincerely
Mrs. C.W. Huggins
